The Roman’s Road to Salvation
So you want to get saved,
or want to know more about salvation.
You might have heard the term “saved” from many
people, but what is it? Each person
will explain their salvation experience differently.
Some will say a weight was lifted off, others set
free and others might say they felt cleansed.
When you go to the core of each person’s
salvation there is one common link, Jesus
Christ. How can you get saved?
Well, let’s go on The Roman’s Road and find out:
1.
You need to
recognize that you are living in sin and have sinned.
Not just you, we all have:
As it is written,
There is none righteous, no, not one.
Romans
3:10
For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
2.
When we sin,
there is a penalty or a price to pay for that sin:
For the wages of
sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans
6:23). If we die
in this sinful condition the price we pay is eternity,
eternity in Hell.
3.
We must
understand that God has made a way:
But God commendth
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us (Romans
5:8).
God sent His only begotten Son to
die for our sins. When Jesus died
for our sins, He became the way to set us free from
those sins.
4.
Since Jesus
has made the way, believe in Him as your Lord and Savior
and confess to
Him your every sin:
That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt
believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the
dead, thou shalt be saved. For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on
him shall not be ashamed. For there
is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the
same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved (Romans
10:9-13).
Now that you have walked
the Roman’s Road and received Jesus Christ you are a
born-again child of God, a new creation.
Is this where it ends? No my
friend, now you will journey here on Earth until you
reach that
Heavenly City.
How? Take the seed that was
planted in your heart and find a
Bible-believing
Church.
